Originating in the
Prickly Pear Simmental program in Montana, 615F claimed her
way to fame the old fashion way—she earned it! She came
down off the mountain sporting a 1000+# bull calf that teamed
up with her to help win the prestigious super cow award at
the NILE Show in Billings, MT. This same calf later went on
to Alta Genetics as a leading A.I. sire and is currently #7
in the breed for tenderness. 615F later found her way to the
Tim Erickson herd in Missouri where she produced the “Red
Power” bull, whose progeny are just now receiving notoriety
for their show quality and consistency. 615F delivered the
“male” upon arriving to Lucas Cattle Company,
again producing one of our feature herd bulls, Highway 615
129L. This homozygous black full brother to Nophalt is really
working in our program by producing those slick haired, extra
thick, fescue tolerant cattle. To say the least 615F’s
legacy will continue in a big way here at Lucas Cattle Company. |
